Since I can remember I have always wanted to be a veterinary nurse, I would volunteer at vets during school holidays and weekends. I have worked in veterinary practice since 2005, straight from school. I started as a veterinary receptionist and went on to do my veterinary nurse training. I qualified and became a registered veterinary nurse (RVN) in February 2011.
I joined Sutterton Veterinary Hospital when it opened in November 2013. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it and helping it grow into a hospital and adding 4 other branches making South Lincs Vet Group. I became deputy head nurse in May 2016 working alongside head nurse Nikki, a role which I put my heart in to. I have since gone on to be group head nurse and feel extremely lucky to be in this position, working alongside an excellent team of nurses, animal care assistants, vets and receptionists. I love all aspects of my job and enjoy supporting and helping my team.
I own a dog called Kiki and two cats, Poppy and Penny, who I rescued through work. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and listening to live music.
