Lucy Hill Animal Care Assistant I actually wanted to be a vet or veterinary nurse from a young age but my family was keen for me to go down another route. I took that all the way and completed a degree in Zoology and a PhD in Microbiology. But 11 years ago I inevitably ended up working in my first Veterinary practice. Since then I have worked in mixed practice, exotic specialist and now small animal practice. I have worked at the Sutterton hospital since July 2021. I have previously done a lot of work in cat rescue and the cat ward is always my favourite place to be. At home I am kept very busy by my three young children. I also have a dog, who is a registered therapy dog, two cats and a budgie.
