I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2009 and began my veterinary career as a mixed-practice vet in the beautiful Welsh Marches. While I loved the variety this role offered, I soon discovered a real passion for small animal practice and decided to focus my career in this area. In 2014, I moved to the East of England to be closer to my partner, where I continued to develop my clinical interests and experience. Over time, I became particularly drawn to small animal internal medicine. I completed my postgraduate certificate in this field in 2021 and was delighted to become an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in 2023. I joined SLVG from my previous practice in Rutland to be part of the fantastic team at the Sutterton hospital, and I’m really enjoying working in such a well-equipped and forward-thinking clinic. My particular clinical interests include diagnostic imaging and endocrine conditions such as diabetes, although I still greatly value the variety and problem-solving challenges of general practice. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my young family and our two Cocker Spaniels. When I get a spare moment, I enjoy cooking and baking, playing the violin with a local orchestra, and getting outdoors hillwalking or cycling.
