Melissa Oglesbee

I’ve always had a love for animals ever since I was little.

My animal management career started at Riseholme College in 2012, as a resident student for 2years.

I then went on to work as a zoo keeper at the Parrot Zoo in 2014, now known as Lincolnshire wildlife Park. I gained a few feathered friends as well as a few puncture wounds.

I started my veterinary career at Fenwold Veterinary Practice in 2016. Where I passed my anaesthetic course and learnt all the basic skills required to care for animals.

As well as gaining my very own feline fur baby - Napkin, who I love dearly!

In February 2021, I joined the fantastic team at Sutterton South Lincs. Here I’m able to develop my knowledge and skills further. Working within a hospital environment, where advanced equipment is used to provide the up most care for animals in need!

I am thoroughly enjoying being part of this team and will soon be a SVN.

In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors, painting and yoga.
